LEMON SQUARES!
I get my fill from Mary Grace -
I'm not particularly fond of Lemons or desserts with lemon-y taste, but surprisingly, I can't say no to Lemon Squares. It's heavenly!
Try it!

Halloween 2009
Before heading off to the province for the long weekend, I grabbed a bite at Chili's, T. Morato. As usual, food was superb and service was great. The Paradise Pie is especially yummy that day (hello, extra pounds!)
Here's a photo taken of me -
*gasp*

Newsflash on Eid'l Adha 2009
For those who have planned what to do and where to go on the Nov. 27 - 30 long weekend, this news is going to blow your fuse: Holidays in ARMM only, says Palace.
Everyone at the office, including yours truly, has already made plans months ago. I booked a flight with the family already.
The Palace is such a real bummer.

Baby Steps
Impossible as it may seem, I've decided to quit smoking. I'm currently counting the days to November 1 when I'd completely turn my back from my 13-year romance with cancer sticks (the number 13 is always a good juju for me :P).
Right now, I'm preparing myself for this BIG lifestyle change. I've just implemented today a no smoking policy both inside the car (while on the road) and inside the house (on a night like this :D). Surely, this self-imposed rule would've been pretty tough if the total smoking ban has not been implemented at the workplace 2 weeks ago (thanks to the Civil Service Commission: Smoking Ban on Government Offices).
Yep, you heard it right, total ban within office premises. We have to walk 10 meters from the building to be able to have a light. Unbearable for girls in high heels, so the new office memo actually helped to weaken the bond I used to share with Mr. Winston Lights. (As a consequence of this, I also rarely hung out with Madam Black Coffee, Mr. Winston's sister. Being a bad influence runs in their family.) Somehow, I've been able to adjust and cut down.
To this entry, and if you've known me for years, you might say in jest, "The world is coming to an end!" Haha
I'm happy to take baby steps. And, by the way, this is my first smoke-free entry in my entire blog life. :)x

Iraqi: What They Had To Go Through
Just because where it happened is a thousand miles away, just because they're strangers, IT DOESN'T make it less real from where I stand.
Read Rape of Iraqi Women by US Forces as Weapon of War: Photos and Data Emerge. Thanks to Asian Tribune for giving a face to reality.

Today, this is what I tell myself: Do your job well so you can help give justice where it is due.

Fresh & New
I gave the blog site a new look. As again. Lol That's fairly predictable of me, so might as well get used to it :-)
Other than my Blogger account, I also gave my Gmail accounts a new look (other than cleaning all the mess in there :P). I used the "Candy" theme. Here's how it looks:
There are other themes to choose from, but I chose this one as it best exemplifies how I feel: light and bubbly. If you have a Gmail account, give this one a try. It'll make you :-)
